New England Building Supply is the Boston area’s leading building materials supplier to builders. We are currently seeking a FULL TIME permanent Boom/Moffett Truck Operator. 

Major Responsibilities:

The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Boom/Moffett Truck Operator:

  • Securing materials on your truck to prepare for jobsite delivery
  • Assist in checking loads for accuracy
  • Execute jobsite boom lifts while observing all safety procedures and practices
  • Perform daily circle checks on equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude required
  • Able to skillfully operate a 24’ tandem truck with a 65’ or 90’ boom and/or moffett
  • Possess a class B CDL w/1C hoisting license
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing w/clean driving record
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Previous building materials/drywall experience a plus but not required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Mobility

  • Constant walking, standing, bending, climbing and crawling
  • Occasional sitting for more than one hour

Vision

  • Constant overall peripheral vision, color, depth perception and reading close-up

Dexterity

  • Constant handling, reaching, feeling and grasping for objects and use of finger dexterity

Hearing/Talking

  •  Constant hearing and talking in person
  • Occasional hearing and talking via telephone

Weather Related Conditions

  • Frequent exposure to heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind

Lifting/Moving

  • Frequent carrying and lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs.

Additional RequirementsOvertime required, as needed, including weekends
