POSITION SUMMARY:

The Receptionist will provide telephone and administrative support for New England Building Supply. The incumbent will be the first face and voice the customer will encounter and will therefore, demonstrate keen customer service skills and a professional presence in a fast-paced high volume environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Incoming call management – answer incoming calls, redirect the calls, take detailed messages and distribute them timely

  • Meet and greet customers and vendors – get to know them by name
  • Manage incoming mail – review, sort and distribute timely
  • Process and apply customer payments to accounts, as needed
  • Perform general maintenance to customer accounts
  • Maintain various administrative files and prepare necessary correspondence & reports
  • Prepare documents for the management team – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Filing and scanning documents
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude to clients/customers and coworkers
  • Assist HR Manager with various activities such as; marketing, benefits meetings, events etc

QUALIFICATION GUIDE:

High School Degree with two years related experience and; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
